Kaishan’s New Screw Host Certified Internationally Advanced by National Authority

Kaishan Heavy Industry has achieved a major technological breakthrough in compressor energy efficiency. Its ultra-efficient adaptive pressure-regulated horizontal two-stage screw airend, developed in-house by Kaishan Research Institute, has been officially certified as domestically leading and internationally advanced by a national-level expert committee.
The appraisal meeting was organized on March 9 by the Shanghai Technology Exchange, a national technology service institution jointly established by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China and the Shanghai Municipal Government. After rigorous review and testing, the expert panel unanimously concluded that Kaishan’s new screw host meets the highest global standards for energy efficiency and performance.

Industry Significance

Compressors consume 8%–10% of China’s industrial electricity, making them a key target for energy conservation under the national 2030 Carbon Peaking Action Plan. Traditional two-stage compressors suffer from over-compression or under-compression under variable load conditions, wasting significant energy.
Kaishan’s innovation solves this problem with two core technologies:
  • Flexible slide valve technology – dynamically adjusts capacity based on real-time discharge pressure
  • Inter-stage spray cooling – improves efficiency and reduces energy loss
